The Consultant, General Accounting will be responsible for specialized Corporate Accounting activities. The role will be responsible for accounting for one-time transactions associated with company acquisitions, divestments, legal entity re-organizations, company liquidations, and intercompany dividends. In addition to these activities, the Consultant will assist with establishing new processes within General Accounting when Merger, Acquisitions, and Divestitures occur. Monthly responsibilities will include research and preparation of the financial statement variance analysis review, including the Corporate income statement and balance sheet line items and Taxes Other than Income Taxes and Other expenses for all segments. Additional monthly responsibilities will include Service Level Agreement Monitoring related to Managed Service Provider Activities.
Responsibilities May Include:
Preparation of one-time transactions and distribution of Non-Standard Journal Entries related to acquisitions, divestments, legal entity re-organizations, company liquidations, and intercompany dividends.
Account for acquisitions by mapping the acquired entities trial balance to P66 Chart of Accounts and prepare Day 1 Balance Sheet upload of the new accounts. Work with FP&A, Statements and Consolidations, Accounting Policy, and other accounting operations in preparation of these entries.
Integrate new accounting tasks related to Corporate Accounting when an acquisition or merger has occurred.
Participate in the monthly Controllers Variance Analysis research and preparation around WD 5-8. Key areas will be focused on all Corporate Income statement line items and focused areas among other segments like Other Expenses and Taxes Other than Income Taxes. Additionally, assist with Balance Sheet Analysis for accounts associated with General Accounting.
Work with the Director, General Accounting, and Managed Service Provider to monitor Service Level Agreements. Processes will need to be established and ongoing monitoring and coordination with General Accounting team members will be required.
Develop Kyriba expertise from an accounting standpoint to consult on treasury accounting
Provide ad-hoc expertise to special projects related to General Accounting as they occur. General Accounting scope includes Payroll and Benefits Accounting, Treasury Accounting, Insurance Accounting, Equity Method Investment Accounting, and Misc. Corporate Accounting activities.
Required Qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
Bachelor's Degree in Business or Accounting
5 or more years of accounting/finance-related experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SAP
Previous Corporate Accounting experience
Certified Public Accountant
Advanced oral communications
Ability to understand accounting policy with assistance from our Accounting Policy and company experts
