The Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for verification of Philly’s Best Steak Company’s Food Safety Management System, ensuring Technicians complete tasks within the scheduled timeframe. The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the Food Safety Management system is effective and identifies gaps through verification activities, and internal audits.
Schedule:
Monday – Friday 6:00 am – 4 pm
Occasionally, additional hours may be required to complete tasks and/or projects.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Promotes a food safety culture within the site.
- Responsible for the completion and verification of daily record keeping in regard to the Food Safety Plan, HACCP Plan, and Hazard Analysis.
- Secondary contact to the USDA FSIS inspector onsite and maintaining a good working relationship built on trust and respect.
- Coordinator acts as back up to Quality Control Manager during all first- and third-party audits.
- Responsible for reporting production non conformances to Production Supervisors and working closely with them to resolve solutions.
- Responsible for carrying out product sampling and environmental testing, ensuring all tasks are completed within the given time frame.
- Works closely with the warehouse personnel on review of outbound products and conformance to specification.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a Food Safety Role.
- Experience in managing an integrated Food Safety Management System.
- HACCP certified and current (less than 5 years old)
- PCQI certification
- Experience in food microbiology, and pathogen testing
- Sanitation experience and an understanding of chemical titration and usage.
- SQF, BRC, FSSC 22000 experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of QA/QC processes and methodologies.
- Familiarity with UDA regulations related to product safety and compliance.
- Experience in conducting quality inspections and audits.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong leadership abilities with effective communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
