Job Summary
The Director of Security is a Senior level position requiring proven leadership and management experience for an expanding company. The Director of Security will hold the security license for our organization in the state of Kentucky and therefore must adhere to the following requirements :
- You must be a citizen of the United States;
- You must be at least 21 years old;
- You must not have been dishonorably discharged from any branch of the United States military;
- You must not have been convicted of or are currently under indictment for a felony.
- In those instances where the offense was a misdemeanor, the conviction must have occurred at least two years prior to application for the license.
- In those instances where the offense was a felony, you must have been granted a pardon or have had your civil rights restored and have been specifically authorized to possess a firearm by means of relief granted by the United States Secretary of the Treasury pursuant to the Federal Gun Control Act of 1960, as amended;
- Have not been adjudged mentally incompetent or currently under charge by a federal court or court of any state or political subdivision, and if so judged, such judgment has been set aside for fraud or error;
- Have not been hospitalized for psychiatric treatment or for drug or alcohol abuse treatment within the past two years, and if so hospitalized, will provide a written statement from a licensed and qualified physician or clinical psychologist verifying that he or she is mentally and emotionally fit for the duties of an armed security officer.
Duties
- Obtain or possess security license in the state of Kentucky (see above requirements).
- Must have excellent report writing and communication skills.
- Manage a team of security personnel, providing training and guidance to ensure compliance with established protocols.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective measures.
- Oversee surveillance operations, including the management of CCTV systems and monitoring activities.
- Coordinate with law enforcement agencies as necessary to address security concerns or incidents.
- Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft and damage within the organization.
- Respond promptly to security breaches or emergencies, ensuring effective resolution while maintaining safety.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, investigations, and security-related activities.
Experience
- 5 Years of proven experience in a security management role or similar position within law enforcement or military settings.
- Must have strong knowledge of rules, laws, and practices of the regulating "bodies" of the state and counties of Kentucky with regard to security practices.
- Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques, including CCTV operations and monitoring systems.
- Experience in conflict management and resolution strategies.
- Familiarity with first aid and CPR practices is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of professionalism.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred; candidates with equivalent experience will be considered.

Pay: $56,000.00 - $82,000.00 per year
