Engaged Critical Care Nursing Director that will motivate and inspire a team of talented Registered Nurses in the delivery of high quality care. As the Leader of this department you will have 24/7 oversight and responsibility around the care delivery process and the ongoing development of your Nursing Team. Previous Critical Care Leadership and the ability to collaborate and partner with the Critical Care Physician leads are critical components required for this position. Additionally, a strong Critical Care background and knowledge around state and federal regulatory requirements, along with effective team building skills and a positive attitude will set you up for success in this exciting role.
- The Director of ICU will provide guidelines for proper direction and motivation to all personnel under his/her jurisdiction.
- Directs and coordinates patient safety, performance improvement and Joint Commission standards of the ICU Department.
- Acts as a role model for patient satisfaction and quality of care.
- This position requires knowledge of all aspects of patient care including assessing, planning, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating the patients progress through the entire continuum of care.
Experience:
- Minimum of 4-5 years critical care unit experience, including 3 years of management or supervisory experience preferred
- Previous critical care leadership
- Ability to collaborate and partner with the Critical Care Physician leads
- Strong Critical Care background
- Knowledge around state and federal regulatory requirements
- Effective team building skills
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required. Master’s preferred.
- Current Florida Registered Professional Nurse License; BLS and ACLS required
