Get to Know Your Team:

• BSA Harrington Cancer Center is a state-of-the-art, 48,000-square-foot facility with two new linear accelerators for radiation treatments, 24 patient exam rooms, 28 heated chemotherapy infusion chairs and three private infusion rooms for families.

• Ability to adequately perform breast ultrasounds as well as invasive breast procedures.
• Sonographer must be able to perform procedures in a fast-paced environment.
• Need to exercise critical thinking skills, be able to multi-task, and manage stress.
• The Ultrasound technologist will provide patient care essential to the exam, when performing medical imaging procedures, use all available safety devices, and follow the established protocols.
• Must be able to work well with others and have effective communication skills.
• Sonographer will follow the direction of the Breast Center Radiologists as well as the ultrasound supervisor.
• Shifts are spent with extensive time on their feet and standing. Sonographer are responsible for performing quality exams and maintaining their credentials.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree, if training is needed
• CPR certification from either the Red Cross or American Heart Association
• Basic knowledge of breast biopsy procedures

Preferred Job Requirements:

• 2 years experience in breast ultrasound.
• Mammo experience.
• ARRT (BR) or ARDMS (BR)
