What are the responsibilities and job description for the Member Services Representative (All Branches) position at Pickens County YMCA?
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direct supervision of the Branch Executive in harmony with Christian values of this Association and in accordance with the policies of the Association, the Member Services Representative will be directly responsible for providing the highest quality service to members and the community.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Create a positive environment where everyone feels welcome, encourage and motivate others to become more involved in the YMCA.
2. Communicate in a friendly and a courteous manner when interacting with everyone who enters the Y, when answering phones, transferring calls and taking messages.
3. Oversee that all members and guests are properly checking in at the member service desk when using the YMCA facility.
4. Present a professional image to all employees, members, and general public.
5. Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Customer service experience
2. Working knowledge of computers
3. Strong relational skills
4. Demonstrate an ability to work effectively with people
5. Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
6. Capacity for learning new information and adapting to an ever-changing environment
PRACTICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Give facility tours
- Reconciling daily cash drawer
- Housekeeping tasks
- Process Memberships
- General clerical duties
- Process Account Changes
- Attend all designated staff meetings
- Program Registration
- Greet/Interact with members
