What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant position at Piedmont Careers?
RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Functions under the direct supervision of the occupational therapist responsible for a specific patient's care. The certified occupational therapist assistant assumes responsibility and accountability for providing occupational therapy modalities and treatment procedures as determined by a treatment plan established by an occupational therapist. Responsible for the care of patients treated by rehabilitation technicians, students, and observers. Responsible for orientation and ongoing guidance of assigned staff.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Associate's degree from an approved Occupational Therapist Assistant Program.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
None.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Current licensure in the State of Georgia. BLS certification through AHA.
