Security Officer - Campus

Pay and Benefits:

• $22-$24/hour

Pierce County Security also doing business as Pacific Coast Security (PCS), has been providing security services for businesses and organizations throughout Western Washington since 1927.

PCS has current openings for security officers at a college in South King County.

As a team, College Security Officers have varied duties consisting of:

• Assist faculty, staff and students
• Deter theft, vandalism and trespassing by patrolling the campus
• College campus checking all buildings and parking lots
• Assist with parking
• Watch for fire and other possible hazards
• Report suspicious behavior and write reports of incidents
• Locking and unlocking of campus buildings
• Handling phone calls and dispatching of the security team

Basic Employee Qualifications/Requirements:

• Minimum of 18 years of age
• Experience preferred, but not required
• Maintain grooming and uniform appearance standards
• Clear criminal record.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Positive professional demeanor
• Obtain a Washington State Guard Card - PCS will pay the $101 security fee for employees that complete 90 days of employment
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Clear criminal record
• Pass a Pre-Employment drug screen - Including Cannabis
• Computer Skills
• Multi Tasking
• Excellent Grooming Standards
• Read Write and Speak English
• Ability to write detailed reports
