What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at Pilot?

ON A TYPICAL DAY YOU’LL
- Contribute to Accounts Receivable operations, including but not limited to applying cash receipts, reconciling customer accounts, and strategically managing outstanding and aging AR balances
- Perform timely data imports between billing and ERP systems
- Address customer inquiries in collaboration with the Customer Experience team
- Assist with month-end close processes, including performing bank reconciliations and processing journal entries
- Contribute to the development of company-wide policies to support business operations
- Support our monthly process to remit payments to channel partners, building managers, and vendors/suppliers
- Support financial audits by providing requested documentation and information
- Conduct cost analyses and assist with various ad hoc accounting tasks and projects
- Perform additional duties as assigned based on variations in team workflows
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (CPA a plus)
- 1 years of Accounting-related experience
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and GAAP accounting
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build effective relationships both internal and external
- Demonstrated team player; fosters a positive and collaborative team environment
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask, take initiative and work within deadlines
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
- Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
- Elementary or better proficiency with mid-tier ERP systems (Sage Intacct) is a plus
- Experience with payroll processing is a plus

- Base salary of Base salary of $60,000 - $75,000
