We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pool Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for pool maintenance and a strong mechanical aptitude. As a Pool Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that pools are clean, safe, and functioning optimally. This role requires hands-on work with various tools and equipment, making it essential for candidates to possess both technical skills and a commitment to excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine pool cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure water quality and cleanliness.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for repairs and maintenance of pool equipment.
- Conduct inspections of pool systems, including pumps, filters, heaters, and chemical feeders.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues related to pool equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of service performed, including chemical balances and equipment repairs.
- Communicate with clients regarding maintenance schedules, service updates, and recommendations for improvements.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards while performing all tasks.
Experience
- Previous experience as a service technician or in pool cleaning/maintenance is preferred.
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools relevant to the job.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose and repair equipment issues.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various weather conditions.
- A valid driver's license is typically required for travel between job sites.
