The Phlebotomist position at Pinnacle will allow you to engage with the patient throughout their journey while working closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide excellent patient care.
We are seeking a Phlebotomist to join our dedicated team at Seattle Reproductive Medicine, located in Seattle, WA. This is a full-time position, working Friday- Tuesday 6:45am - 3:30pm and Saturday and Sun 6:45am - 2:30pm schedule, with 2 holidays per year and on call weekend shifts 3 times per year required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform venipuncture and skin punctures to collect blood samples from patients of all ages.
- Properly identify patients, label samples, and ensure accurate patient information is recorded.
- Prepare blood samples for laboratory testing and transport them according to protocol.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, following all infection control and safety procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients to provide clear instructions and ensure comfort during procedures.
- Chaperone and assist with ultrasound procedures.
- Manage inventory of phlebotomy supplies and ensure adequate stock levels.
- Assist with patient check-in, scheduling, and updating medical records as needed.
- Collaborate with laboratory and clinical staff to ensure timely and accurate test results.
- Adhere to all laboratory policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Other duties and project as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Medical Assistant – Phlebotomy license (WA state DOH) required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum of 1-2 years of phlebotomy experience in a clinical or hospital setting preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent manual dexterity.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and staff.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety and infection control standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
$22.00 - $30.00 hourly
The compensation range for this position is between $22.00 - $30.00 per hour. Final salary offers will be determined based on factors such as years of experience, skills, and qualifications.
