What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales and Merchandising Assistant position at Place Showroom?
The Sales and Merchandising Assistant is responsible for working closely with the Director of Merchandising and Specialty Sales team to complete regular administrative and operational projects for the company. This role focuses on maintaining reports, calendars, and general communications between the Brand Merchandising department and both internal and external partners. This role also serves to provide in depth analysis on key performance indicators within the department, making recommendations to the Merchandising team. This role also will support the sales team and the candidate must be comfortable in a client-facing sales environment and be able to travel when needed.
- Assist in regular maintenance of follow ups on calendar deadlines and close dates
- Support the Brand Merchandising department by completing regular and ad-hoc business analysis and reporting
- Monitor weekly OTS and selling metrics; identify and analyze trends, identify over/under stock positions, and make recommendations based upon analysis
- Assist the west coast sales team with scheduling, appointment preparation, and communication with accounts
- Misc. tasks as assigned by management
- Salary Range $25-28/hr commensurate with experience
- 1-3 years working in the apparel industry (wholesale experience a plus)
- Advanced Excel skills required
- Comfortable working in a client-facing, selling environment
- Ability to travel up to 40%
- Must be based in LA area, this role cannot be done remotely
