What are the responsibilities and job description for the CMD Lead Assembler position at Plastech Corporation?
The CMD Lead Assembler trains, assists and provides work direction to CMD line assemblers for Communications Markets Division. In this position, you will be responsible for the leadership of respective CMD assembly lines; this includes the operation of equipment and final visual inspection of parts, and packaged parts for shipment to customers. You will also be performing a visual inspection of parts, as well as, packing parts to ensure proper shipment to customers. The CMD Lead Assembler follows established production/process specifications or instructions. In this position, you perform manual packaging operations to fill, mark, label, ban, tie pack and/or wrap containers with products and materials. You will also observe operations and inspect packaged items for conformance with specifications. This position requires you to perform tallies, weighs, and stacks to arrange products and packed containers. The CMD Lead Assembler is required to report any malfunctions or abnormalities of equipment to the Assembly Supervisor.
Hours Available (Monday thru Friday):
- 1st Shift - 7:00am to 3:30pm ($18.00 per hour)
Qualifications:
- Preferred two year experience in manufacturing and/or assembly line or related production. Plastech Assembly experience preferred
- Proven leadership skills or qualities
- Requires attention to details and must be self-motivated
- Read, analyze, and interpret documents such as Picture Packet, IOP, procedure manual and safety rules.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
