Position Reports to : President / CEO
Objective : Leads Platinum Bank’s sales efforts, conducting business development and managing relationships within the Greater Twin Cities Market. Leads sales team to form strategic partnerships with centers of influence, community, and business leaders to drive growth and promote a market reputation leveraging Platinum Bank’s uniques (Speed, Simplicity, Creative Solutions & Connectors).
Responsibilities
Sales Leadership
Strategic direction for sales, develops growth goals, and delivers results.
In collaboration with other senior leaders, develops and communicates high-level strategy for sales function.
Establishes bank-wide sales goals and strategies to grow loans, deposits and fee income.
Drives results through strategic execution and market penetration.
Achieves annual growth targets and creates long-term value for all stakeholders.
Assesses competitor activities to identify gaps in the market.
Works with internal stakeholders to develop highly efficient processes that promote a top-tier client experience.
Develops and owns the sales process through each step of the sales lifecycle.
Improves sales workflows and eases process bottlenecks.
Communicates clear direction and expectations with all stakeholders.
Team Leadership
Leads a business development team to achieve and exceed sales goals.
Fosters business development activities consistent with organizational objectives.
Equips and empowers team while holding them accountable for delivering results.
Provides clear direction, communication, and expectations that enable a healthy, disciplined sales culture.
Creates employee development goals that support all direct reports.
Partners with sales team to foster COI networks.
Supports business development team on client calls and site visits.
Identifies and removes barriers to maximize team and individual effectiveness.
Client Experience
Enhances and influences client experience.
Develops strategies to form a strong understanding of the customer’s business needs, objectives & motivations.
Promotes effective risk management.
Solves problems and proactively suggests solutions that create value for the customer and bank.
Puts together program to better understand bank customers.
Bank Leadership
Serves as a member of the Senior Management Team.
Voting member of Internal Credit Committee, Lead Generation, and Asset & Liability Committee.
Fosters strong relationships with other bank leaders.
Collaborates with other leaders to develop and manage bank loan products.
Leads, manages and holds others accountable across the bank.
Other Duties
Credit Management
Provides effective prequalifying insight for new loan opportunities.
Active participant in the Bank’s credit decision making process ensuring sound and timely decisions are made.
Assists sales team with loan structuring, pricing and risk assessment as needed.
Community Involvement
Identifies and participates in community / regional activities and Bank functions that create visibility, goodwill, enhanced relationships, and a positive reputation.
Education and / or Experience
Deep financial industry knowledge including commercial lending and commercial credit.
10 years of related experience with leadership experience.
Demonstrated history of effectively partnering with leadership across bank departments.
History of leading and maintaining a sales process.
Exceptional communication skills.
Passion for coaching and developing others.
Willing to work predominately on site at Platinum Bank’s physical locations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds.
