Position Reports to: Credit Manager

Objective: The Credit Administrator is responsible for supporting Platinum Bank’s Credit Department. This position will assist in coordination of workflow and support efforts in collection of underwriting documents from customers to ensure the Bank has sufficient information to analyze when conducting loan review and credit analysis functions for loans within the Bank’s portfolio. The position will also prepare, create, monitor and analyze credit related reports. While this position primarily services Platinum Bank’s internal staff, communication with third party vendors and Platinum Bank clients will occur from time to time.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the coordination and monitoring of workflow for the credit administration group, which primarily includes spread requests, third party report management, and underwriting assignments.
  • Spread financial statements and comment on identified risks and questions.
  • Complete annual credit reviews of customer relationships.
  • Develop underwriting skills to complete underwriting and recommendations on credit requests as assigned.
  • Manage transactions with construction to ensure budgets are on track with approval and work directly with Credit Risk Officer for construction draws and disbursements.
  • Order and review appraisals and real estate evaluations on commercial and residential loans secured with real estate.
  • Order and review environmental reports on commercial loans secured with real estate.
  • Order and manage business valuations, collateral audits or other third party reports.
  • Review and analyze accounts receivable aging reports and manage the process of maintaining borrowing base certificate tracking and identifying limits for customers who have lines of credit that are governed by borrowing base certificates.
  • Attend and participate in Credit Committee meetings. Prepare committee agenda and take meeting minutes.
  • Attend weekly credit development meetings with staff, bring questions, examples and ideas to the discussion.
  • Understanding of what information (financial, collateral, legal, supporting information) is required in order to perform credit analysis of new and existing loan customers. This position will play a key role in compiling information and aiding in efforts to coordinate receipt of information from clients in order to complete timely analysis of new and existing loan requests.
  • Sharing of information with other Banks/Financial Institutions that Platinum Bank has a Loan Participation relationship.
  • Complete certain credit and loan related reports for Platinum Bank management and credit committees as directed by theChief Credit Officer or Credit Manager.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Understanding of the Bank’s Loan Policy and loan related policies such as Appraisal, Environmental and Construction, as well as understanding and compliance with banking regulations.
  • Maintains all electronic filing so that necessary documents can located easily, and documentation is consistent and complete.
  • Positive interaction with all lending staff and assists other departments when needed.
  • Comply with all department and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality with all information obtained.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:


QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School degree or GED Required
  • Preferred 4 year college degree
  • 2 years related banking experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES

  • Accuracy and efficiency with attention to details

Technical Skills:

  • Satisfactory skill set in the use of the following software applications: Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with Jack Henry applications desirable.
  • Experience with Laser Pro desirable
  • Experience with financial statement spreading software desirable.
  • Experience and understanding of finance/accounting concepts, methodology and analysis desirable

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment:

  • The working environment is typical for an office and does not require exposure to difficult or hazardous conditions.
