Administrator Position -
Platte County Legacy Home
Wheatland, Wyoming
Full-time, 50-bed skilled nursing, 16-room assisted living, outpatient rehabilitation facility, approximately 80 employees.
Leadership, Operations & Compliance: The Administrator is responsible for management, leadership and operation of Legacy Home in compliance with federal, state and local laws and rules and regulations. The Administrator shall develop and implement goals, policies and programs to meet the Standards of Practice contained in Chapter 5 of the Rules and Regulations promulgated by the Wyoming State Board of Nursing Home Administrators.
Resident Care & Advocacy: The Administrator is responsible for ensuring Legacy Home delivers high quality resident focused care. The Administrator shall represent the facility and develop positive relationships with residents, families, medical professionals and community stakeholders.
Financial Management: The Administrator is responsible for implementing appropriate rates, sound budgeting, accurate financial reporting, and cost-efficient operations without compromising quality of care.
Staff Management: The Administrator is responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, evaluating, and retaining qualified staff while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous professional development, including infection control and emergency preparedness. The Administrator shall develop staffing, scheduling, and compensation policies with a focus on long-term sustainability and meeting the future needs of the community.
Education, Experience: The Administrator must have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in nursing, with additional education related to healthcare administration and/or business administration. The Administrator must have a current Wyoming Administrator license or alternative authorization by the Wyoming State Board of Nursing Home Administrators. It is preferred the Administrator have 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role in a healthcare organization, and/or be a Certified Nursing Home Administrator through the American College of Health Care Administrators.
Knowledge & Skills: The Administrator must have a fundamental understanding of rules and regulations promulgated by the Center for Medicaid Services and the State of Wyoming relating to skilled nursing facilities, the Life Safety Code, and Medicaid/Medicare reimbursement.
Schedule and Pay: The Administrator will be offered a competitive salary commensurate with the level of responsibilities being undertaken, while considering responsibilities and functions which are delegated to consulting services or independent contractors. The Administrator must be available outside of their normal scheduled work hours as needed to address emergent issues at Legacy Home.
