Job Summary:
The Bartender is responsible for providing excellent customer service, creating and serving a
wide range of beverages, and maintaining the bar area. This role requires a strong knowledge
of cocktail recipes, beer and liquor selection, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced
environment. A successful Bartender will engage with customers, make recommendations, and
ensure a welcoming atmosphere. This is a non-supervisory, non-exempt role.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a bartender or in a similar role preferred.
Knowledge of mixology, liquor brands, and drink preparation techniques.
Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers
and team members.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Must be of legal age to serve alcohol, as per CA law.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately.
Flexibility in scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Food Handlers Card (preferred)
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
High school diploma
1-2 years server experience
Food Handlers Card (preferred)
Certification in responsible alcohol service (preferred).
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items (kegs, boxes of supplies).
Ability to work in a noisy and busy environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with standard
recipes and customer preferences.
Take food orders and serve at the bar and tables when needed.
Greet customers, take beverage orders, and provide prompt and courteous service.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware
and cleaning counters.
Restock supplies, including liquor, beer, wine, garnishes, and other bar essentials.
Verify the customer’s age to ensure they are of legal drinking age.
Manage cash and credit transactions accurately and process payments.
Create a welcoming and friendly environment, engaging with customers and building
rapport.
Stay informed about the drink and food menu, including specials and seasonal offerings.
Collaborate with kitchen and servers to provide a seamless guest experience.
Handle any customer concerns or complaints in a professional manner.
Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
