Job Description Job Description The role is extremely important where you will become a key member of the operations team, actively involved in managing import and export shipments from start to finish. You will be responsible for arranging air shipments. You will be hands-on with every aspect of the forwarding process, ensuring the customer receives the highest level of service, and that they receive their goods safely and on-time.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Working to strict deadlines to co-ordinate Worldwidemultimodalimports & exports with end-to-end responsibility
- Managing commercial terms of freight, arrival confirmation and pre-alert details
- Responsible for customer service internally, bookings, documentation, and execution of routing for assigned shipments.
- Verify that shipments are being processed through customs for both import and export cargos.
- Responsible for scheduling pick-ups and deliveries when necessary
- Assists with the day-to-day operations of the import and export departments.
- Responsible for communicating information and instructions to and from vendors.
- Trace shipments through transit points up to final destination and advise customer.
- Responsible to co-ordination and communication with various parties (including customers, overseas agents, etc.).
- Strong customer relationships to understand requirements and always deliver excellent customer service.QualificationsMinimum 1 Years’ Experience within Freight ForwardingcoAdvanced English (reading, writing and conversation)Experience with both import and export freight forwardingMust be Enthusiastic, Ambitious, Self-Motivated & Looking to Develop & ProgressMust Have Experience Handling All Aspects of Air Import / Export Operations, Back-to-Back Shipments, Consols, DG Shipments ETCFull Air Export or Import Process - Start to Finish Air Export / Import OperationsExperience in a customer service environmentHigh School education requiredWorking knowledge of Transportation Management Software (Magaya) is an asset.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in verbal and written form.
