Route Sales Representative/Driver

PLP Battery Supply in Murphysboro is currently seeking outstanding individuals to join our Sales Team!

Since our founding in 1982, PLP Battery Supply has grown into a local, regional, and nationwide supplier of batteries, chargers and other battery-related products. We need High Quality Team Members to assist our expanding customer base and drive our continued success.

Position Requirements

• Previous sales experience is highly valued, but not required.
• Must be self-motivated, sales oriented, organized and have strong people skills.
• Saturday work is required on a rotating schedule (in addition to basic weekly pay).
• Valid Driver License required.
• Clean driving record required.
• Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs unassisted.
• Automotive technical/mechanical skill is valued, but not required.
• Basic computer skills required (skill with MS Excel, MS Word, or HTML is valued, but not required).

Position Responsibilities

• Manage customer accounts using in-house tools.
• Deliver products to customer sites using company vehicles.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through effective communication and customer service.
• Perform cold calling and follow-up to generate leads and close sales.
• Develop and execute sales strategies to improve battery sales in assigned territories.
• Conduct product demonstrations and upselling to enhance customer engagement.
• Collaborate with team members to identify new opportunities and expand market presence.
