JOB SUMMARY : Under the direction of Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing. Provides nursing care to residents in the Health Care Center through assessment, planning implementations and reevaluation of resident needs. Carries out and interprets policies, procedures, local, state, and federal regulations in the Health Care Center. Responsible for directing care given by Certified Nurse Assistants.

- Assesses resident needs, and provides necessary nursing care as per resident's care plan.
- Completes assigned MDS and participates in interdisciplinary care plan conferences.
- Assures that resident rights are maintained.
- Provides emotional and spiritual support to residents, families, and other staff as needed.
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
- Supports a restorative philosophy of care.
- Works to maintain a clean, safe, homelike atmosphere, and respects the individuality of each resident.
- Comply with applicable federal, state and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintains knowledge of and follows all Plymouth Place policies and procedures.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings.
- Attends in-service and education programs.
