Position Summary:
We're seeking a dedicated and organized Cargo Coordinator to join our team in Greenland. This is a seasonal position that offers an incredible opportunity to experience the Arctic firsthand and contribute to critical scientific research. As a Cargo Coordinator, you'll be responsible for managing the flow of supplies and equipment to and from a remote Arctic observation station.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments with the Kangerlussuaq cargo team.
- Organize, distribute, palletize, and document all cargo.
- Lead aircrews in offloading and onloading cargo.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience working in a remote environment
- 1 years of experience in a position involving aircraft cargo
- Valid U.S. passport

Preferred Experience:
- Two years of experience in planning and organizing remote cargo/supply movements
- Knowledge of aircraft load planning and regulations governing transportation of hazardous materials
- Previous cargo experience with remote site and/or polar logistics operations
- Hazardous Material Shipment Certification (e.g., 49CFR, IATA DGR, AFMAN)

Compensation and Benefits:

Work Schedule:
- This position requires deployment to Summit Station, Greenland.
- Deployments are typically from April to June and June to August.
