Maintenance Supervisor
About the Job: The Maintenance Supervisor oversees the daily activities of the Maintenance Department. That department is responsible for efficient maintenance services. The Supervisor directs and works with department employees to ensure the accurate and timely performance of equipment repairs and preventive maintenance on the buildings, grounds, equipment. A candidate for this managerial position must be detail oriented, organized, safety conscious, able to multi-task, able to problem-solve, meet deadlines and work well in a fast paced, high-growth environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Plan and coordinate all installations (telecommunications, heat, electricity etc.) and refurbishments
2. Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards
3. Inspect buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations
4. Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs
5. Supervise all facilities staff (custodians, technicians, groundskeepers, tool changers etc.) and external contractors
6. Plan, direct and supervise maintenance work, equipment installations and repairs while maintaining schedules, quality standards and budgets in accordance with Company procedures.
7. Assign, manage and assist employees with all maintenance work on the building and equipment.
8. Review and prioritize manufacturing equipment maintenance with Production Coordinator.
9. Perform repairs and installations on all manufacturing equipment, as necessary.
10. Perform appropriate tests and equipment inspections to ensure proper operation and safety.
11. Maintain repair/maintenance logs for all maintenance work.
12. Keep financial and non-financial records
13. Perform analysis and forecasting
14. Interact with, and organize vendors and service technicians.
15. Confer and coordinate with other departments to resolve maintenance issues.
16. Monitor maintenance supply inventories and procure parts, as necessary.
17. Maintain clean and orderly equipment, tool, part and mold areas.
18. Develop, implement and maintain a preventive maintenance program.
19. Continually monitor and, where necessary, improve the flow and efficiency of maintenance operations in the production areas.
20. Train personnel to keep them current on procedures, safety, and work instructions.
Skills and Competencies:
1. Proven experience as facilities manager or relevant position
2. Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices
3. Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
5. Excellent organizational and leadership skills
6. Good analytical/critical thinking
7. Must have demonstrated skills in leadership, project management, time management and excellent verbal and written communications skills.
8. Must have planning, scheduling, equipment start-up, shutdown, or turnaround experience.
9. Ability to read and understand operating and maintenance instructions, manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
10. Must have hands on mechanical knowledge of an EPS injection molding machine including mold changes, tool processes and setup experience.
11. Must have strong industrial equipment experience including electrical, hydraulics, compressors, pneumatics, boilers, PLCs, etc.
12. Must be able to manage multiple projects/initiatives effectively and within budget.
13. Must be able to communicate and interact with multiple levels and departments.
14. Must be willing and able to work well in a hands-on team environment.
15. Must be able to stand for entire shift and repeatedly push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, climb ladder up to 10 ft and lift up to 75 pounds.
16. Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
Minimum Education and Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required. AA or Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field (Engineering, Mechanical, etc.) or 5 years direct experience in technical role required. Bachelor's Degree, industrial engineering or related field preferred. Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Candidate must have direct and proven experience in managing a team of at least 4 people.

Pay: $48,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
