What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scheduler/Planner position at Polaris Engineering?

Job Description

I. SUMMARY OF POSITION :

Prepares, updates, monitors, and manages multiple individual project schedules as well as overall master schedule
Assists in the development and implementation of work breakdown and project coding structures for control of work defined by the contract

III. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

7 to 10 years of scheduling experience in the Refining and Chemical industry sector

Proficient in Primavera P6 and MS software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project)

Able to forecast project activities

In-depth knowledge of project schedules and able to predict, produce and document schedule forecasts

Technical and practical comprehension of engineering, procurement, and construction techniques

Able to collect and review schedule and progress data

Skilled oral and written communication

Able to coordinate with Engineering, Purchasing, Fabrication and Construction

Available for short-term travel

IV. REPORTING REQUIREMENTS :

Reports to the Enterprise Management Office Manager

V. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift to 40 pounds at times
