POLITICO
Arlington, VA Full Time
POSTED ON 1/7/2025
AVAILABLE BEFORE 3/6/2025

POLITICO's E&E News is seeking a talented, enterprising reporter to track energy development on federal lands and waters. This is a high-profile beat. You'll be our lead energy reporter covering the Interior Department -- from its policies on oil and gas to the personalities that roam its hallways. The beat includes offshore wind, a growing industry facing critical government and industry decisions in the next few years. You'll have the freedom to pitch important stories that come from any part of the energy sector, and there will be opportunities to travel. We're looking for a reporter who can identify trends, write colorful features and drive the narrative in Washington about energy policy in the next administration.

Interested? Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Experience building sources, delivering scoops and digging through documents
  • A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with newsroom colleagues.
  • Experience covering the energy sector and federal agencies.

In your application, please include a resume, cover letter and at least 6-8 clips that demonstrate a track record of scoops, enterprising reporting and illuminating writing.
