JOB DESCRIPTION
Food Service Aide (Part time 5.5 hours)
M-F: Number of hours To Be Determined
Pay-$15.00 pr hour

Job Summary:
Essential Functions:
1. Wash dishes
2. Prepare and serve meals as assigned.
Assist the manager and other food service workers with food preparation tasks as assigned by the cafeteria manager as assigned.
3. Handle food service records as assigned.
Collect and count money for meals and supplemental items as assigned.
4. Assist with kitchen operation as assigned.
Clean.
Maintain equipment.
5. Follow the work schedule provided by the cafeteria manager.
6. Communicate appropriately within the school environment.
Help maintain an inviting cafeteria atmosphere.
Maintain appropriate confidentiality.
Education, Experience, and Skills Required:
1. High school diploma preferred.
2. Previous experience in food service preferred.
Evaluation:
Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of Board of Education policy, North Carolina statutes, and goals established by the Principal and the cafeteria manager.
Environmental Factors:
This position requires lifting up to 50 pounds, walking up and down steps, standing for extended periods of time, having hands in water for dishwashing and cleaning, handling cleaning agents.
