Polsinelli is seeking Senior Financial Systems Software Developer, this role can be hired as remote or hybrid, provided the candidate is in a state/jurisdiction wherein we practice.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Architect, analyze, design, test, implement, troubleshoot, and maintain new and existing financial applications utilizing PowerBI.
- Maintain balance and system coherency between Finance and Accounting applications and existing IT infrastructure.
- Collaborate with Finance and Accounting teams to develop report using PowerBI and SSRS.
- Understand, analyze, and communicate findings of financial data.
- Deliver data integration by integrating data shared across legacy, new development, and purchased package environments specialized for legal industry. Legal background is a requirement.
- Study data sources by analyzing and identifying the relationship among data objects and provide proper documentation of the relationships.
- Develop and modify SQL functions and stored procedures to extract, transform, and load data.
- Demonstrate intermediate to advanced understanding of SSAS and SSIS.
- Understand the SQL table structures of the various Finance & Accounting software systems needed to develop reporting and ad-hoc queries including Power BI, 3E, Intellistat, and Intapp Time. Prior exposure to accounting and finance software and databases is a requirement.
- Lead team members through examples and knowledge sharing. This includes in meetings and in documentation.
- Ability to navigate additional coding languages such as HTML, C#, PowerShell or other similar developments. A willingness to learn new coding languages as needed for the changes in financial products and services.
- Exposure to project management structure and lifecycles and ability to lead projects based on a dedicated method, such as SCRUM, Waterfall, Kanban (break-fix) and other key development methodologies.
- Work with manager and team to understand daily work-load priorities and keep both informed of statuses.
Preferred Technical Competencies and Skills
- Must have law firm background
- Must have leadership background
- Experience in information systems development which includes systems analysis and design, programming and documentation
- Must have prior development and reporting experience, in law tech or IT in a firm
- Must be able to demonstrate financial analysis and mathematical ability
- Must have prior project management exposure and/or participation
- 3E experience, preferred
- Must have financial software and integration experience
- Must have familiarity with DB administration
- Must be in a US Time Zone, Eastern or Central desirable
- Must have some knowledge of PowerShell and AppShell use and development and open to learning new coding skills and applications as needed
The budgeted salary range for this position is $125,000-$150,000.
