The Career Services Advisor will...
1. Perform daily activities to ensure that graduates find employment in their field of study. Depending on the need of the assigned campus or campuses the job duties may include
- some or all of the following activities:
- Meet individually with each student and graduate to coach and motivate them about their job search, reinforce the content of the Professionalism Seminars they have taken, assist in the preparation of a professional resume and assist in the formulation of their career search objectives and action plans.
- Contact unemployed and employed graduates to maintain a relationship with PCI to find out about possible employments and job leads.
- Build relationship with local employers in order to secure job orders for our students.
- Submit resume of student and/or graduate to open job orders Set up interview for student/graduate with the employer, confirming directions to client location, date and time of interview with employer and student/graduate.
- Maintain personal contact with each assigned student from orientation day until the graduate is satisfactorily placed. Upon employment of a graduate, follow the employment verification procedure as laid out by Career Services and Compliance Management.
- Conduct Professionalism Seminars to educate graduating students on sourcing for jobs, resume/cover letter writing, interviewing tips and presentation tips with assistance from Career Services and Education staff.
2. Organize and manage Career Service Events including PAC and career fairs
3. Develop Employer Partnerships in the local market
4. Organize Professional Development Seminars on campus, coordinating with Faculty and other stakeholders.
Position Requirements:
- Sales or recruiting experience preferred, but not required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to work effectively under deadlines and multiple demands.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite required
- Familiarity with Campus Management and PCI’s LMS (Canvas) preferred
