POSITION TITLE : Assistant Football Coach
Note : Offensive experience preferred and specifically offensive line
REPORTS TO : Varsity head coach, head coach and athletic director for coaching duties and principal for teaching duties.
NATURE AND SCOPE OF THE POSITION :
Provide assistance to the head coach for a quality program in the sport assigned.
MAJOR DUTIES :
- Be responsible to the head coach of his / her particular sport.
- Be responsible to the principal of his / her school.
- Be responsible to the athletic director.
- Be available for additional duties as deemed necessary by the head coach, athletic director, and principal.
- Provide whatever support is necessary to give the student athletes the opportunity to develop fundamental skills in the sport assigned.
- Promote sportsmanship and character building activities.
- Attend coaches meetings and clinics for professional growth.
EVALUATION :
The varsity head coach, athletic director, and principal will evaluate the head coach and report their findings to the superintendent based on the criteria set for in this job description.
