HOURLY SUBSTITUTE CUSTODIAL WORKERS

DUTIES:

The following is indicative of the level and types of activities performed by positions in this title in the absence of the full time employee or an unfilled vacancy. 1.Disinfects all areas
2.Dusts chairs, tables, desks and other furniture; moves furniture as required to perform duties;
3. Washes windows, walls, woodwork, bathrooms, tubs and bowls;
4. Sweeps, mops and washes floors;
5. Strips and waxes floors;
6. Cleans and maintains building exteriors;
7. Gathers and disposes of refuse;
8. Cleans and polishes furniture and brass;
9. May be required to perform or assist in minor repairs;
10. May be required to perform maintenance chores such as painting or snow removal;
11. Does related work as required.
Working knowledge of cleaning methods, materials and equipment; ability to understand and follow simple oral and written directions; ability to get along well with others; thoroughness; punctuality; cleanliness; physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.
*Per Diem as needed
APPOINTMENT:
Appointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Superintendent following assessment of training, experience, certifications, credentials and evaluation of service. Personal interviews shall be conducted where appropriate.

Pay: $18.00 per hour
