What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scheduling & Production Planning Analyst position at Power Systems International Inc?
The Scheduling & Production Planning Analyst is responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to daily and weekly production schedules. Duties include interpreting demand, formulating demand plans, reviewing, and distributing production work, conferring with department managers, supervisors, and leads to determine the progress of work and completion dates, monitoring inventory levels, solving production problems related to throughput, and reporting capacity load and constraints to management.
Essential Responsibilities:
Support demand planning and consensus forecasting activities as required to develop an effective production plan/schedule for production
Utilize capacity planning tools as required to develop efficient level-loaded production plans in support of service level and inventory targets
Lead production planning and scheduling in a high-volume, high-mix manufacturing environment that supports a build-to-plan manufacturing model
Act as the day-to-day point of contact for operations to assist in the resolution of subcontractor purchase order promising situations, customer delivery difficulties, and demand versus supply conflicts
Responsible for daily and monthly report generation, presentation, and administration of variance reports.
Review Time Phase, ensuring future demand requirements are met
All other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Business, Operations Management, Statistics, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred; may substitute for the degree direct applicable work experience on a year-for-year basis which built competencies and subject matter expertise in production scheduling or planning
Demonstrated success in general office administration, previous production planning or scheduling experience within a manufacturing environment
Proficiency with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Epicor preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and advanced Excel skills including functions: V-lookups, pivot tables, and macros
Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining data analysis reports
Ability to support a team as well as function independently
Salary : $50,000 - $55,000
