What are the responsibilities and job description for the Science Teacher - High School position at PPEP Inc.?
PPEP TEC High School is seeking a positive and engaged teacher, highly qualified to teach course content, essential academic skills and citizenship to students, preparing them for employment and/or further education after graduation.
PPEP TEC is an alternative high school and its staff advocates for the success of atypical students from underserved communities. We strive to maintain small class sizes and to build cooperative learning environments supported by strong and innovative educational teams.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to the curriculum.
- Current Arizona K-12 Teaching Certificate OR ability to meet ADE definition of Highly Qualified by either 24 hours in an approved subject area or passing scores on an AEPA exam.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid IVP DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to see a computer monitor.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Must be able to lift twenty five (25) pound
