Facilities Maintenance Technician

We currently have a position open for a Facilities Maintenance Technician with PAG's Atlanta division.

JOB PURPOSE                                                                                                                                      

Use knowledge, skills, experience and good judgement to ensure facilities is maintained through basic/routine maintenance and repair of the facility, including interior, exterior and systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.) with outside vendors and property management for contracted services. Review facilities requests and expediently respond to requests. 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Job Functions:

• Perform daily physical inspection of the facility to identify current or potential maintenance or repair needs
• Clean and restock common areas to include lobby, breakrooms, bathrooms and copier stations
• Maintain inventory with outside vendors for breakrooms, to include: paper supplies, (plates, bowls, cups, napkins, paper towels, cleaning supplies, etc.)
• Replace supplies in breakrooms and bathrooms as necessary, i.e. cleanser, sponges as needed, paper towel rolls, bath tissue
• Ensure refrigerators are clean, discard old food/containers on a bi-weekly basis
• Perform light maintenance and repair functions to ensure facility is functional and presentable
• This will include, but is not limited to:
• Drywall/plaster repair
• Furniture assembly and relocation
• Repairing/changing interior and exterior lights and fixtures
• Painting
• Ceiling tile replacement
• Light bulb and filter replacement
• Minor electrical and appliance repair
• Plumbing repairs, replacements and installations
• Assist with facility inspections, to include safety, sprinkler/riser and fire inspections
• Inspect external areas, to include parking, shrubbery, lighting, concrete and asphalt for maintenance, replacement and/or repair
• Address any water-related issues, including placing mats on flooded area and mopping as necessary
• Perform quality checks monthly on HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems
• Primary liaison with property management and outside vendors to include, but not limited to:
• HVAC
• Plumbing
• Grounds (parking, sidewalk, etc.) and landscaping

WORKING CONDITIONS

Physical Demands:

• This job is performed in an indoor, climate-controlled environment and external company grounds. 

• Requires sitting or standing for periods of time
• Frequent walking, bending, and reaching above shoulder level
• Occasional squatting, lifting, carrying, and/or lifting up to 50 pounds
• Computer and phone usage

Education/Training: High school degree or equivalent (general education degree GED)

Experience:

• 2 years facilities maintenance and repairs experience
• Familiarity with maintenance management work order systems preferred
• Valid state driver’s license for use of company van
• Able and willing to work a flexible schedule and travel locally
