Job Summary
A key role within the Quality Assurance team, the AOI Programmer is responsible for developing, debugging, and maintaining Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) machine programs to ensure efficient and accurate inspection of electronic components in a manufacturing environment.
Hourly Rate: $22.00-$25.00 (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 3:15 PM; Friday, 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Key Responsibilities for AOI Programmer
- Develop and maintain AOI machine programs for optimal performance.
- Revise and update programs to accommodate part changes, templates, and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
- Debug programs to enhance machine efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintain a program log and document changes.
- Train operators on AOI machine operation and troubleshooting.
- Assist operators in identifying and resolving part discrepancies.
- Communicate with AOI machine manufacturers for technical support.
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve production and quality issues.
- Plan program creation in advance to align with production schedules.
Required Skills & Qualifications for AOI Programmer
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2-3 years of experience in electronics manufacturing.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems efficiently.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work across departments.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- IPC-A-610 Certification is a plus.
- Experience with SAP Business One is a plus.
Work Environment & Requirements
- Manufacturing environment requiring attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
