Description

This position is responsible for performing daily cleaning and maintenance tasks Swiss, Mills and Lathe machinery and the facility under the direction of the Maintenance manager. This also includes assisting in the maintenance and cleaning of machines on the manufacturing floor.

• Change out oil and coolant for machines
• Change filters on machines when needed
• Spin oil coolant chips
• Clean floors, mop/wax
• Perform repairs based on skill sets
• Cross train on saw
• Assist with general cleaning of machines
• Perform any cleaning tasks requested by management or supervisor
• Break down boxes and/or crates to be ready for recycling
• Other routine maintenance/facility cleaning needs that may arise (e.g. preparations for floor cleaning, moving equipment, work involving climbing ladders, etc.)
• Under direction of your supervisor and/or upper management, assist in ensuring the facility is audit-ready (e.g. safety and regulatory requirements are met)
• 6S Participation
• Attend meetings as required
• Sign-up for and attend required trainings 
• Assist with on-the-job trainings that may take place in your department, including observations by colleagues
• Other duties as assigned 

Requirements

• Must be able to understand English
• Comfortable working on a ladder
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Must be reliable and at work on time
