Duties
Applicant's duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- A commitment to children and families
- Desire to make changes to improve the quality of the current program
- Facilitating a curriculum that meets the Arizona Infant and Toddler Guidelines
- A deep understanding of developmentally appropriate practices
- Building responsive, nurturing relationships with children, families, and co-workers
- Coaching peers on improving their practices
- Supervising children
- Providing a safe, healthy, engaging learning environment to support the whole child
- Exceeding the Department of Health's Child Care Licensing rules and regulations
- Meeting quality early learning standards
- Recording children's development and building portfolios
- Positively guiding children's behaviors
- Effectively communicating with children, families, and co-workers
- Documenting required duties and responsibilities
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- A commitment to children and families
- Desire to make changes to improve the quality of the current program
- A minimum of six month's experience in a licensed child care facility in the two year old classroom
- Willingness to obtain a degree or Child Development Association (CDA) credential
- A current Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Negative TB Test in the last 12 months
Nice To Haves
- Wages are increased for a CDA, associate degree in early childhood education, or bachelor degree in early childhood education
