Little Guppy Child Development Center of O'Fallon is a licensed childcare center seeking Assistant Teachers! This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, energetic candidate who is passionate about early childhood education. Our mission is to be a nurturing environment for young children trusted by parents. We accomplish this by focusing on the needs of our students through age-appropriate educational activities in a fun, loving, and safe setting.
We have openings for the following age groups:
- Infants
- Toddler
- Two's
- Pre-K
- School Age
Compensation: $12.50-14.00 per hour, based on experience or education; *$1,000 sign-on bonus*
Shifts: Monday - Friday; we have flexibility regarding schedules. Part-time schedules can include 2:00pm - 6:00pm or 3:00pm - 5:00pm or 11:00am to 6:00pm

Some of the duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Creating and maintaining an environment that is clean and safe for all children
- Carrying out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children
- Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs
- Implementing lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development
- Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family in order to provide quality care for the children
Qualifications:
- High school Diploma required
- Prior experience working with younger children
- Coursework in early childhood education or related field preferred
