Job – I&C Design Engineer

Location – Troy, MI

Salary - $110,000 - $130,000 per annum.

Join our team as an Electrical Designer / Engineer specializing in Instrumentation & Controls. Our company is a leader in engineering, integration, and construction of advanced R&D and production systems, controls, and facilities

This role involves working within a multidisciplinary team to support a range of process and industrial projects by designing and drafting electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities :

• Collaborative Design : Partner with project teams to understand and translate user requirements and design specifications into actionable plans.
• Electrical Schematics : Develop and review detailed wiring diagrams, control panel layouts (UL 508A compliant), and power / lighting system plans.
• Process Documentation : Design and update process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) to support project objectives.
• Equipment Procurement : Work closely with suppliers and procurement teams to source instrumentation and control components.
• Panel Fabrication : Generate work orders and oversee the in-house production of control panels.
• Functional Testing : Conduct system functionality tests on equipment at the manufacturing facility to ensure quality and reliability.
• Project Documentation : Create comprehensive wire pull schedules and contractor-specific work scopes to support bidding and construction efforts.
• System Commissioning : Perform I / O checkout, resolve troubleshooting issues, and calibrate instruments during commissioning phases.
• Field Implementation : Offer hands-on technical assistance to ensure successful project delivery and integration at client sites.
