Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and providing support.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulations.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and assist with diagnostic procedures.
- Ensure that examination rooms are clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures at all times.
Skills
- Proficiency in taking vital signs and understanding their significance in patient care.
- Experience in outpatient settings or familiarity with urgent care environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic life support (BLS) techniques is essential.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations, particularly in Level I or Level II Trauma Centers.
- Familiarity with dermatology practices or emergency medicine is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate records and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Compassionate approach towards patient care, ensuring comfort and understanding throughout their visit.
