The Schedule (16-40 Hours )* Overnight shifts.
Locations you will be working in: Alexandria, Arlington, Dulles, Lorton, Springfield, Triangle, Woodbridge
Responsibilities:
This is an overnight, seasonal position that begins March 1st. The schedule is generally put together months in advance.
This is a great position if you are looking for some extra, easy work with plenty of time for doing homework or other sit-down projects or hobbies like writing or creating.
You will be providing Unarmed Security Officer services by monitoring hotel floor(s) to detect, report and deter unauthorized activities. You will frequently patrol the floor(s) and respond to any alarms or emergency situations in a timely manner. To maintain a secure environment, you will enforce the tour groups and location's security policies and procedures. When needed, you will also coordinate with local law enforcement agencies. Depending on the group you or may not be required to keep a written daily log of activity.
Requirements:
- Must have a VA DCJS Unarmed Security Officer registration.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License.
- Previous Security experience preferred.
- Strong conflict management skills to handle challenging situations effectively.
- Ability to Stand/Sit/Walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening

- MUST have VA DCJS Unarmed Security Officer registration in possession at time of interview.
- The schedule will fluctuate from time to time to adjust services as needed.
