Description

We are looking for professional security patrol officers to protect the premises and assets of our customers. You will maintain a high visibility presence and prevent illegal or inappropriate actions. The duties are to detect, deter, observe, and report irregular activity.

Job Duties

• Control entry into business by reviewing identification of employees and guests
• Continuously observe surroundings to detect unusual or suspicious activity
• Observe premises for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Contact the Police or Fire Department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized person
• Permit authorized persons to enter property; monitor entrances and exits
• Observe departing personnel to prevent theft of company property and ensure that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities
• Provide assistance to employees in a courteous and professional manner

Educational Requirements

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must have or be able to pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing within 60 days of hire.

Experience Requirements

(Candidates must meet at least one of the following experience categories)

• 1- 3 years experience as a security guard
• 1-2 years experience as a police officer
• 4 years service in either active duty military, military reserves, or National Guard

Additional Requirements

• Must have reliable transportation that will be used to patrol the customer's property.
• Must be at least 18 of age
• Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
• Must not use illegal drugs.
• Must submit to a background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verification, Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks, and fingerprinting
• Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD-214 discharge document with discharge status indicated if prior military
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time
• Must be able to endure exposure to weather, noise, and other workplace environments

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overnight shift
• Weekend availability
