Job Posting: Electrical Engineer - Construction Project Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer - Construction Project Specialist to join our team. This role is integral in supporting design review, construction management, and facilities renovation projects. The selected candidate will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on electrical engineering issues related to construction and collaborate on various projects, ranging from minor renovations to major new building construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and provide expertise on electrical engineering issues, including analysis, troubleshooting, design concepts, and commissioning.
- Oversee planning, design, and construction services for renovations and new construction projects.
- Review design and construction documents, ensuring compliance with mechanical, electrical, and civil standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop cost-effective solutions for renovation and construction challenges.
- Coordinate and facilitate complex planning for projects, taking into account architectural, engineering, and budgetary feasibility.
- Prepare project updates and reports for leadership teams.
- Monitor project schedules and costs, addressing deviations from budgets or timelines.
- Evaluate proposed equipment purchases to ensure compatibility with building infrastructures, including utilities and HVAC requirements.
Qualifications
Education:
- Minimum: Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Construction Services.
Preferred Certifications:
- Engineer in Training (EIT)
- Professional Engineer (PE)
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
Experience & Skills:
- Proven expertise in analyzing design and construction information to identify potential issues.
- Strong background in building project oversight, including renovations and refurbishments.
- Proficiency in scheduling software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) and construction project tracking software (e.g., Procore).
- Skilled in using the Microsoft Office Suite for project reporting and communication.
