Position Title: Network Engineer III
Location: Remote with 10% travel, New Jersey-based orientation. Candidates must be local to NJ or nearby areas.
Role Overview: Our Client is seeking an experienced Network Engineer III specializing in routing, switching, implementation, design, and architecture. This role involves supporting trading environments and requires hands-on expertise in network infrastructure within financial trading systems.
Key Requirements:
Location: The ideal candidate is based in New Jersey or nearby, with the ability to work remotely and travel up to 10% for business needs. Orientation will be conducted in New Jersey.
Experience:
- The candidate should possess 7 to 10 years of experience in network engineering.
- Candidates with over 10 years of experience will also be considered.
- 5 years of experience in a trading environment is mandatory.
Trading Domain Expertise:
- The candidate should have experience working with trading clients, including major entities such as Nasdaq, banks (e.g., Chase), and large financial institutions.
- Familiarity with Options Trading, EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer), and Equity Trading environments
Skills and Technical Expertise:
- Routing and Switching: The candidate should demonstrate expertise in advanced network routing and switching protocols, including implementation, troubleshooting, and optimization.
- Network Design & Architecture: A strong background in designing and architecting robust network solutions for trading or financial environments is required.
- Specific Trading Environment Knowledge:The candidate should understand the unique demands and technologies in trading systems. Familiarity with the Options Price Reporting Authority (OPRA) or similar systems is a plus.
- Technology Stack: Proficiency with high-performance network technologies suitable for financial trading environments is expected.
Preferred Client Experience: The ideal candidate will have experience working with major banks, Nasdaq, Chase, and other large financial institutions.
Exposure to environments dealing with options trading, equity trading, and EFT systems is advantageous.
