Pride Health is hiring Phlebotomist II to support our client’s medical facility based in Edenton NC 27932
. This is a Contract job with a possible extension opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Location: Edenton NC 27932
Schedule: Day/EST
Monday - Friday 8am - 4:15pm, 30-minute lunch. This is a temp to perm position.
Pay Range: $18 -19(Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.) The rate is based on years of DIRECT EXPERIENCE as listed in the resume
Responsibilities:
- Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
- Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
- Properly explain in a clear but courteous manner the process of the venipuncture (blood drawing) and or other specimen collection (ex. urine or fecal) as required.
- Demonstrate technique/s using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
- Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
- Package specimens for transport.
- Stores specimen samples according to the required temperature, places samples in appropriate collection container/ tube, accurately labels, and follows different procedures as outlined by specific to protocol deemed necessary for transport to maintain integrity of the specimen.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Minimum 3 yrs of phlebotomy experience is required.
