Job Description: Parts Clerk Specialist
Job Description: A Parts Specialist has a minimum of 2 years of qualifying experience in parts and meets all requirement of a Parts Specialist independently and in addition meets the following requirements:
- Obtain and maintain a Parts Specialist ASE Certification.
- Demonstrate the capability to train other Parts Specialists successfully to complete their job.
Duties: The Parts Specialist is responsible to order, receive and organize parts and other assets of the company.
It is typical for the Parts Specialist to complete the following work daily:
- Login to company systems to report time worked and what work is completed.
- Order parts from vendors, follow up on those order and notate ETAs and other appropriate details in our systems of record.
- Update our systems of record with the our cost of pricing.
- Update our systems of record with the system book hours for each work order.
- Maintain an accurate record of keys including when they are received, handed out and turned back in if needed.
- Maintain parts in an orderly fashion that is quickly able to be pulled upon request.
- Communicate with vendors and partners via verbal phone calls, text messages, emails or in person to follow up on parts or work BEFORE the ETA expires. Provide proper notations in our systems of record for the same.
- Read the notes in our systems and look at the photos and videos to ensure all information is understood for accurate and timely ordering of parts.
- Provide Service Technicians with respectful service.
- Receive and make phone calls to the Service Writer and Collection staff as appropriate.
- Cross trained as a backup Service Advisor
- Cross trained to take payments in all systems
- Complete a monthly parts inventory count audit
- Send a daily audit recap to Upper Management that includes how many parts ordered, how many parts approved, and how many parts in transit with eta.
- Additional duties as assigned
Expected Results:
- The activities listed above are to result in:
- The team achieving a minimum of 1.2 to 1.5 cars produced per technician per day, as an average.
- Begin the process of parts order within 10 minutes of receiving the request, or faster if the request is urgent.
- Coordinate with porters and department members to send and pick up sublet items same day.
- As a team, ensuring that customers receive their cars back within no more than 7 days or 5 working days.

Minimum Requirements for Employment:
- Reasonable abilities utilizing technology the company utilizes.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2 or more years of qualifying work experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
