The Asian cuisine category is one of the fastest growing food categories. In preparation for continued growth, CCI Prime has invested in a new facility in Bethlehem PA. We are looking for a motivated and experienced Planning Manager to help establish and implement best-in-class Planning capabilities at the new facility
Position Summary
The Planning Manager has responsibility for the CCI Prime planning process including S&OP, production planning, and daily line schedules, as well as managing the procurement and inventory position of materials needed for production. This position serves as a key support function working with Operations, Warehousing, Logistics and Customer Service across 2 manufacturing facilities and multiple warehouses.
Key Responsibilities
- S&OP: Develop and implement Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes to align production and inventory levels with customer demand and company goals.
- Capacity Planning: Create and manage capacity plans to ensure adequate resources and capabilities are available to meet production requirements.
- Production Scheduling: Develop and maintain production schedules to optimize efficiency and meet customer demands. Adjust schedules based on customer demand changes, production attainment, and material availabilities.
- Material Planning: Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to minimize inventory costs while ensuring product availability. Confirm accurate stock levels of all raw materials and packaging components.
- MRP & Inventory Planning: Manage MRP systems to ensure raw materials are available for production. Create and manage material purchase orders, update pricing, and confirm order acknowledgements from suppliers.
- Logistics: Oversee the delivery of raw materials and packaging inventory, including domestic and international purchases.
- Supplier Engagement: Work with approved suppliers to ensure product availability, stay informed of market condition changes, and ensure contracts are in place. Ensure vendors have up-to-date specifications and that all delivered products are within approved SQF/GMP Quality ranges.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards. Implement quality control procedures to maintain product quality and consistency.
- Team Engagement & Communication: Communicate plans, schedules, and material requirements to relevant departments. Lead planning meetings to inform Operations of schedule changes, material shortages, and major customer order events. Communicate new sales orders to the Operations team and ensure the production schedule meets customer lead times. Communicate daily with the Warehouse on receipts of materials and transfers of released Finished Goods to customers' locations.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance planning, scheduling, and inventory control efficiency. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant operations and reduce costs.
- Analysis & Reporting: Prepare reports on S&OP performance, capacity utilization, production schedules, and inventory levels for management review.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 6 years of experience in planning management, including S&OP, capacity planning, production scheduling, and inventory control within the food industry.
- Production Planning and Material Management experience in food manufacturing preferred.
- Experience with demand planning software and statistical forecasting techniques desired.
- Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Dynamics GP or SAGE, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access), and other related software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Education and Experience:

- Broad knowledge of state-of-the-art supply chain management initiatives and programs.
