Description

You will be joining a diverse team of the largest independently owned, center-of-the-plate food distributors in New England and Eastern New York. Providing a full line of quality products from meats to vegetables, dairy, deli, frozen foods, and nonperishables, backed by our reliable service and infallible commitment to our customer’s success. Whether you’re looking for an order of choice ribeye steaks or diced pork butt, you can source your meats from the Prime Cutting Room–custom cut, packaged, and weighed to your exact specifications.

As a Receiver, you will handle the receiving (unloading) of items in a warehouse or backroom of a store, and ensures that the shipments are inspected, sorted, and stored in the warehouse or stocked on shelves as needed. In addition, it is important to check goods for damage, identify mistakes, follow procedures to return unsatisfactory items, and maintain shipment records. Receivers will monitor shelves to restock as needed and place orders for both inventory and shipping supplies when they are low. 

Requirements

• A high school diploma is preferred.
• Safety always.
• We provide training on warehouse equipment, including scanners and pallet jacks.
• Attention to detail of items coming into the warehouse.
• Problem-solving.
• Teamwork.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• Lifting 50 lbs to chest height.
• Work regular hours in sub-50* temperatures.
