Princeton Orthopaedic Associates is currently seeking a part-time X-ray Technologist. We have locations in Princeton, Monroe, Robbinsville, Ewing, Plainsboro, and Hillsborough. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled X-ray Technologist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray equipment, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process. This role requires a strong understanding of medical imaging techniques and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties:
- Perform X-ray examinations on patients as per physician orders while ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns or questions
- Operate imaging equipment and maintain accurate records of procedures performed, including patient information and imaging results
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff
- Stay updated on advancements in imaging technology and techniques
- Assist in the training of new staff members in X-ray procedures and safety protocols as needed
Skills:
- Graduated from an X-ray Tech program
- Licensed in accordance with the state of NJ
- Certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Proficient in operating X-ray machines and related imaging equipment
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to diagnostic imaging
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients to provide reassurance and clear instructions during procedures
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Commitment to patient safety and adherence to industry regulations regarding radiation exposure
