Laboratory Technician

Laboratory Technician Opportunity:

Principle Health Systems is hiring a Toxicology Laboratory Technician to support our rapidly growing clinical laboratory company Principle Laboratory. This role will be working in the Toxicology department of the laboratory. Our laboratory is located within the company headquarters in the Webster/League City, Texas area (77058).

New graduates are welcome to apply. No experience is needed for this role ,but a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Biology, or a similar relevant major is required.

• Full-time, permanent role
• Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
• Pay: $18.00-$20.00/hour; Based on experience and tenure

Laboratory Technician Essential Job Functions:

• Perform sample preparations for quantitative drug testing in urine.
• Perform test procedures on patient specimens adhering to the Section’s Standard Operating Procedures to ensure accurate, timely reporting.
• Ability to analyze, review ,and interpret test results for analytical integrity.
• Perform required Quality Control to ensure tests are being performed within control limits.
• Initiate any corrective action in the laboratory on testing data that has been reviewed and found to be incomplete or inconclusive.
• Ensure that major automated equipment is operational by performing required maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting procedures.
• Assist in evaluation of new procedures and equipment to provide the physician with the most current laboratory technology.
• Participate in opportunities for continuing education and/or teaching, training according to the Section Performance Standards to enhance technical skills.
• Manage inventory of reagents and other laboratory supplies to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Adheres to all regulatory requirements.
• Perform other related duties as required with the level of this position.

Laboratory Technician Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or asimilar science field is required.
• No experience is necessary. We will provide training ,but do require eagerness and willingness to learn.
• All applicants must live 30 minutes or less from our laboratory site in Webster/League City, Texas (77058).
