What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loan Officer Assistant/ LO Training Program position at Priority 1 Lending, LLC?
Priority 1 Lending is searching for sales minded individuals for our first Loan Officer Training Program. We are looking for phone sales minded individuals who have been in the mortgage industry in another capacity or a sales position and are interested in becoming a licensed Loan Officer. You will be required to take the 20 Hour SAFE comprehensive course before your start date. You will be responsible for paying for this course initially and be refunded upon passing the Loan Officer training program. If you are accepted into the training program, the training team will help you get to where you need to be to pass the actual SAFE test and sell over the phone. Priority 1 will also sponsor your NMLS licensing and handle all costs associated with licensing and testing for the SAFE. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Spending half of your day in training and half of the day shadowing current Loan Officers on the phone as well as eventually getting on the phone yourself to transfer clients to licensed LO's
- Learning how to work with mortgage clients in multiple states for both purchase and refinance transactions
- Communicating with potential clients across the country through phone, email, and text communication encouraging them to choose my client as their mortgage solution
- Learning the industry with training, on-the-job shadowing, coaching, and mentoring
- Building and managing a strong pipeline of opportunities to meet and exceed weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales goals
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU –
Required Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of phone sales experience (or equivalent experience)
- At least 6 months in the mortgage industry (preferred)
- Ability and willingness to take the prerequisite 20 Hour SAFE comprehensive course
- Study and pass the SAFE test with training in office and additionally on your own time outside of the work week to ensure your success on passing the test
- Highly coachable and willing to learn sales tactics
- Confident communication skills and professionalism both over the phone and face to face
- Confident in your ability to close clients or learn the skills required to be successful with closing clients
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment
- Have the ability to deal with constant change and get excited about it
- High aptitude in learning new technology and very detailed when recording information in all systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the mortgage industry and hold a current NMLS license
- Phone Sales specifically
