Responsible for performing repair, maintenance, installation and/or preventative maintenance for commercial cooking or refrigeration-related food service equipment such as refrigerators, ice machines, ovens, ranges and similar equipment. Technicians will be provided with a company van, appropriate inventory to perform service calls and a work cell phone and tablet. Technician must be comfortable with or willing to learn how to document all work performed on an iPad. This position is an excellent cross-over opportunity if you have any mechanical training (auto, plumbing, electrical, etc.) and are simply looking for a change.

Certificates and Licenses: Required licenses include a Valid Driver License and a Refrigeration (EPA) universal license. Preference will be given to technicians with additional certifications such as CFESA Certifications and/or Journeyman Licenses or with training certificates from manufacturers and/or service representatives.
Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); at least three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Math Ability: The employee needs the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability: The employee needs the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret and extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the internet, smartphones and tablets. Individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook or similar programs.

Compensation And Benefits
- Typical pay range of $28-$40 per hour based on experience and certifications

- Repair, maintain, install or refurbish equipment according to an established service schedule, company and factory standards and within acceptable time frames as well as troubleshoot and rectify potential problems on location.
- Apply knowledge of products and seek additional training and education as appropriate.
- Document legibly and accurately all work completed and submit such orders to office personnel according to company policy.
- Work closely with management to ensure timely scheduling of work.
- Maintain service vehicle in a clean manner at all times, perform preventive maintenance and maintain a vehicle logbook on service/repairs done on a routine basis.
- Keep vehicle stocked with a sufficient supply of parts and tools.
- Build and maintain customer relations in field to ensure excellent customer service and enhance the company's image.
- Offer assistance and instruction to employees as needed.
- Train new employees on all aspects of the Field Service Technician position.
- Develop and implement quality control training for Field Service Technician employees
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
